Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the Investment Conclave 2021 at Coimbatore on Tuesday, November 23. The CM said that investment will be made across various districts, which will ensure employment opportunities in the state
The Tamil Nadu government inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) across 59 projects with an investment valued at about Rs 35,000 crore. These projects will create employment opportunities for around 75,000 people in varioud sectors such as aerospace and defence, Chief Minister MK Stalin said.
Speaking at the conclave, Stalin said that the investments will be made across 22 districts in Tamil Nadu, so that there are enough opportunities for people in their own districts. He said that renowned companies such as Larsen and Toubro, Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) and TVS are going to invest in the aerospace and defence hub which will be setup in Coimbatore.
The CM talked about the ‘TN Fintech Policy 2021’, which features a Fin Tech city to be setup in at Chennai, which will be spread across 10 lakh square feet area. Among the MoUs, a number of Electric Vehicle (EV) projects were signed. TVS Motor Company is looking forward to invest Rs 1,200 crore in electric vehicles and upcoming technologies in the next four years.
