T-Hub has signed a strategic partnership with the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, to help build a robust and sustainable startup ecosystem in the State. The collaboration comes at a time when Tripura’s startup landscape is expanding steadily, with recognised startups increasing by nearly 66 percent over the past five years across technology, services, and emerging sectors.

With experience supporting more than 2,000 startups across areas such as deep tech, semiconductors, aerospace, artificial intelligence, and other emerging fields, T-Hub will work alongside the Directorate of Information Technology to create structured incubation frameworks and long-term capacity-building initiatives. Planned efforts include support for the State’s Incubation Centre and Innovation Park, preparation of Detailed Project Reports, acceleration programmes, mentor exchange initiatives, leadership workshops, startup showcases, and platforms connecting founders with investors and industry partners.

The partnership was announced during the launch of Tripura’s new innovation and incubation initiatives and represents a key milestone in moving from policy planning to implementation under the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy. The inauguration of T-NEST, Tripura Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Startups, as the State’s flagship incubation hub marks a new phase focused on strengthening institutions and helping entrepreneurs grow their ventures. The initiative also aligns with national priorities outlined in the Union Budget 2026–2027 to boost entrepreneurship and digital infrastructure across the North-Eastern region.

Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director (IT) and Head of Startup Tripura, Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, said the partnership demonstrates the State’s commitment to building a future-ready startup ecosystem supported by strong institutions and founder-focused programmes. He noted that connecting Tripura’s entrepreneurs to national and global networks will help create a technology-driven engine for long-term growth and position the State as a model for innovation-led governance.

Mr Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub, said the growth of India’s startup ecosystem will depend on strengthening regional hubs and unlocking talent across the country. He added that T-Hub’s experience in helping founders access markets, capital, and partnerships will support Tripura’s entrepreneurs as they scale their ideas and compete globally.

The Directorate of Information Technology, under the Industries & Commerce Department of the Government of Tripura, serves as the State’s nodal agency for implementing and monitoring major technology-led initiatives. It also leads the execution of the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy and oversees activities related to startup recognition, policy support, funding facilitation, and ecosystem development. The Directorate plays a central role in strengthening digital governance and ensuring the effective rollout of IT infrastructure and e-governance projects across the State.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, T-Hub is one of the largest startup innovation hubs in the world. It has supported over 2,000 startups through structured programmes, access to markets, funding opportunities, and state-of-the-art infrastructure.

T-Hub also plays a key role as an incubator of incubators, contributing to initiatives such as iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence), particularly in aerospace and defence technologies, and hosting centres like the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) and the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technology Hub (MATH). With a founder-focused approach, T-Hub connects entrepreneurs to global investors, partners, and industry leaders, helping them grow and scale their businesses.
