Himalaya Food International a BSE-listed frozen and canned food processor, has announced a major milestone in its North American expansion with the successful completion of product registration and approval with US Foods, one of the largest foodservice distribution companies in the United States. The development marks a significant step forward in strengthening Himalaya’s presence in the US foodservice market.
The company had been operating as a “spot vendor” with US Foods since 2025, supplying products on a transaction-by-transaction basis. Following consistent delivery performance, adherence to quality standards, and reliable supply chain execution, Himalaya has now been elevated to the status of a Regular Approved Vendor.
This transition represents a strategic upgrade in the commercial relationship between the two organizations. As an approved vendor, Himalaya gains structured access to procurement systems across the US Foods network, enabling a more streamlined ordering process and long-term business planning. The company’s registered products have been assigned unique APN (Approved Product Number) codes within the US Foods system, allowing internal procurement teams to place direct and recurring orders through centralized digital platforms.
The initial product registration includes a focused portfolio of high-demand potato-based offerings tailored for the US foodservice segment. These comprise Straight Cut French Fries, Crinkle Cut French Fries, Shoestring French Fries, and Baked Potato Skins (BPS). The selected range aligns with strong and consistent demand across restaurant chains, hospitality operators, and institutional foodservice providers.
By securing approved vendor status, Himalaya Food International significantly enhances its visibility and accessibility within the extensive US Foods distribution network, which serves thousands of foodservice customers nationwide. The milestone also establishes a scalable platform for expanding the company’s product portfolio in the U.S., including potential future listings across additional frozen and value-added categories.
Company leadership indicated that this achievement reinforces Himalaya’s commitment to international quality benchmarks, operational efficiency, and customer-focused growth. The strengthened partnership with US Foods is expected to support sustained revenue expansion in North America while positioning the company for deeper penetration into key regional markets.
With this advancement, Himalaya Food International continues to build momentum in its global growth strategy, leveraging product innovation, supply chain reliability, and strategic distribution partnerships to expand its footprint in one of the world’s most competitive foodservice markets.
