Simplex Castings Limited (BSE: 513472) has started FY27 on a strong footing, reporting higher revenue and profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company said robust demand from the thermal, power and cement sectors, along with a growing order pipeline, supported its performance during the quarter.
Revenue from operations rose 34.85% year-on-year to ₹60.95 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with the corresponding period last year. EBITDA increased 25.81% to ₹11.52 crore, while the EBITDA margin stood at 18.89%. Profit before tax grew 44.76% year-on-year to ₹9.16 crore. Profit after tax also increased 44.76% to ₹6.86 crore. The PAT margin improved to 11.25% in Q1 FY27 from 10.48% in Q1 FY26.
The company is seeing strong business opportunities in the thermal and power sectors, where it is actively participating in major tenders and pursuing new orders. Its manufacturing facilities, skilled workforce and engineering capabilities are supporting its efforts to address larger projects and expand its presence across key industrial markets. Simplex Castings said its near-term order book has crossed ₹150 crore, compared with the ₹80-100 crore range it had typically maintained in the past. The increase reflects the company’s expanding business scale and stronger order pipeline.
Commenting on the performance, Ketan Shah, Chairman and Executive Director, Simplex Castings Limited, said the company had made a strong start to FY27, with revenue rising 35% and profit after tax increasing 45% year-on-year. He said the company was witnessing a clear improvement in both the size and quality of business opportunities. Demand from the thermal and power sectors remains strong, and the company is focused on converting these opportunities into confirmed orders.
Mr Shah added that the company’s capabilities in manpower, machinery, manufacturing and technical execution, built over several years, provide a strong base for future growth. Improved participation in large tenders and a wider business pipeline are also expected to support the company’s expansion.
Simplex Castings will continue to focus on disciplined execution and profitable growth while expanding its presence in thermal, power, railways, cement and other critical industrial segments. The company aims to leverage its engineering and manufacturing capabilities to secure larger projects and build a stronger position across these markets.
