SIMCON has announced the launch of the Cadmould AI Solver, a new artificial intelligence–driven solution developed to accelerate injection moulding simulation. Created in collaboration with Emmi AI, the technology introduces a transformer-based engineering model capable of delivering simulation results significantly faster than conventional numerical methods.
The new solver addresses one of the most persistent challenges in injection moulding: long computation times that limit the number of design iterations engineers can evaluate. By reducing simulation time from hours to seconds, the Cadmould AI Solver enables engineers to assess filling patterns, pressure distribution and temperature behavior almost instantly. This allows for a much broader exploration of design alternatives during early development stages.
Rather than replacing existing simulation tools, the AI-based solver is designed to work alongside traditional numerical methods. Engineers can use the AI solver during the initial design phase to quickly identify optimal process parameters and narrow down design options. Once a preferred solution is identified, high-precision validation can be carried out using established numerical solvers within the Cadmould Flex platform.
The technology is built on a transformer-based neural network trained on extensive engineering datasets, enabling it to accurately predict complex physical behaviors across a wide range of geometries. Its ability to generalize across new and previously unseen part designs allows engineers to apply the tool across diverse applications without requiring retraining.
The launch also includes the introduction of a Partner Program aimed at industrial users. Participants will gain early access to upcoming features, including capabilities for predicting shrinkage and warpage. The program also enables companies to test the solver using their own product geometries while collaborating with SIMCON’s engineering team to refine future developments.
SIMCON brings more than three decades of experience in injection moulding simulation and optimization, serving industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical and consumer electronics. The introduction of the Cadmould AI Solver reflects the company’s ongoing focus on improving speed, accuracy and efficiency in plastics manufacturing processes.
By combining rapid AI-driven insights with established simulation methods, the new solution offers a more flexible and efficient workflow for product development. This approach is expected to help manufacturers reduce development cycles, improve product quality and enhance decision-making in increasingly complex engineering environments. The Cadmould AI Solver represents a significant advancement in simulation technology, supporting faster innovation while maintaining the reliability required for industrial production.
