SiMa.ai has introduced the Modalix PCIe HHHL Card, a new addition to its product portfolio designed to support advanced artificial intelligence workloads in industrial and edge computing environments. Developed in collaboration with Advantech, the solution is engineered to meet the growing demand for efficient, real-time AI processing.

The card is built in a standard half-height, half-length PCIe form factor, allowing seamless integration into existing industrial PCs and edge servers. It is optimized to handle complex workloads, including large language models and vision-based applications, while operating within strict power constraints.

Designed for performance and efficiency, the Modalix card delivers enhanced processing capabilities compared to earlier versions. It enables real-time inference for applications such as manufacturing automation, smart retail, transportation systems and defence operations. With support for multiple video streams, the solution is particularly suited for environments requiring high data throughput.

A key advantage of the system is its ability to run entire AI workloads directly on the card, reducing dependence on host CPUs. This architecture improves overall system efficiency and simplifies deployment, especially in legacy infrastructure where redesign may not be feasible.

The card also supports direct connectivity options, including camera interfaces and Ethernet integration, enabling faster data processing and streamlined system architecture. Its low power consumption eliminates the need for additional cooling or external power sources, making it suitable for compact and resource-constrained installations.

By enabling AI capabilities without major system modifications, the Modalix PCIe card lowers the barrier to adoption for enterprises looking to implement intelligent automation. It offers a scalable path for organizations seeking to upgrade existing systems with advanced analytics and decision-making capabilities. Samples of the product are currently available, with broader commercial rollout expected in the coming months. The solution will be offered in multiple configurations to meet varying operational requirements.

The launch reflects a broader shift toward edge-based AI, where processing is performed closer to the source of data. This approach reduces latency, enhances security and supports real-time decision-making across a wide range of industrial applications.
