Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has announced the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities at its Pakuria facility with the addition of key equipment aimed at improving operational efficiency and addressing rising market demand. The company has successfully commissioned two new annealing furnaces with capacities of 25 metric tonnes per annum and 30 metric tonnes per annum. These furnaces are expected to streamline the annealing process, ensuring improved efficiency, greater consistency in production, and enhanced overall product quality.
In addition to the furnaces, the company has also operationalized a 2300 mm Vertical Foil Separator (LGSS). This advanced system enables precise separation of Ultra-Light Gauge (ULG) and Light Gauge (LG) foil within a thickness range of 6 to 15 microns. The installation is designed to support the production of specialized products, enabling the company to meet evolving customer requirements with greater accuracy.
Together, these upgrades are set to strengthen process control and manufacturing performance at the Pakuria unit. They also align with the company’s focus on expanding its portfolio of value-added products while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Commenting on the development, Brij Bhushan Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that the company remains committed to enhancing its operational capabilities through focused investments and process improvements. He noted that the latest additions would contribute to delivering consistent, high-quality products while enabling faster and more effective responses to changing market needs. These developments form part of the company’s broader strategy to steadily build manufacturing strength and remain aligned with industry demands.
