Schneider Electric has announced the expansion of its SE Advisory Services business in India, strengthening its consulting and digital transformation capabilities to help enterprises address rising energy complexity, growing sustainability commitments, and accelerating decarbonisation requirements. The company stated that the expansion brings its flagship global consulting platform to Indian businesses at a time when the country is witnessing rapid growth in energy demand driven by industrialisation, urbanisation, and digital infrastructure expansion.

SE Advisory Services combines strategic consulting, AI-enabled software platforms, and end-to-end implementation support to help organisations manage energy transition challenges while improving efficiency and operational resilience. India’s electricity demand is projected to grow by more than six percent annually as industries expand operations and increase digital adoption. At the same time, India’s revised climate commitments under its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), including targets for 60 percent non-fossil fuel-based power capacity and a 47 percent reduction in emissions intensity of GDP by 2035, are pushing enterprises to adopt smarter and more sustainable energy systems.

Deepak Sharma, MD & CEO and Zone President – Greater India at Schneider Electric, said businesses are increasingly facing the challenge of managing energy more intelligently while balancing operational costs and sustainability objectives. He noted that organisations today require integrated solutions that combine strategy, digital intelligence, and execution capabilities to achieve measurable outcomes. According to Sharma, SE Advisory Services has been designed to help enterprises make informed decisions faster and translate sustainability ambitions into scalable action plans.

The advisory platform provides support across multiple business and operational areas. These include sustainable business transformation, industrial decarbonisation, electrification strategies, renewable energy integration, circular economy initiatives, and low-carbon operational frameworks.

The services portfolio also focuses on helping companies strengthen resilience against energy volatility, cybersecurity risks, climate-related disruptions, and system outages. Schneider Electric said the offering enables organisations to reduce downtime, improve connected system security, and create more reliable operating environments.

Another key area includes resource and asset optimisation, where the advisory platform helps businesses improve infrastructure reliability, reduce waste, and unlock additional operational capacity through data-driven analysis and performance evaluation.

The company is also integrating AI-enabled software platforms into the advisory framework to connect fragmented operational workflows and convert data insights into actionable business intelligence. Schneider Electric stated that the software tools are built on deep domain expertise and designed to support digital transformation at scale.

Venkat Garimella, Vice President – Sustainability, Greater India Zone at Schneider Electric, said industries are increasingly recognising the close convergence between energy systems, automation, and digital technologies. He added that transformation initiatives can no longer be addressed in isolation and require a partner capable of integrating sustainability expertise with advanced digital technologies and implementation capabilities. According to Garimella, the advisory services model is intended to help customers identify efficiency opportunities, implement sustainability programmes, and achieve measurable business outcomes while future-proofing operations against evolving regulatory and market conditions.

Schneider Electric stated that the expansion of SE Advisory Services reinforces its strategic transition from being primarily an electrification hardware provider to becoming a global energy innovation and advisory partner.

The company continues investing in intelligent infrastructure solutions designed to support connected buildings, industrial facilities, data centres, power grids, and manufacturing ecosystems. Through digital technologies, automation systems, and AI-powered analytics, Schneider Electric aims to help businesses optimise performance while reducing environmental impact.

Globally, Schneider Electric operates in more than 100 countries with a network of over 160,000 employees and one million partners. Its portfolio includes intelligent electrical systems, software-defined automation architectures, digital services, and sustainability-focused advisory solutions.
