Sable Offshore Corp has announced the commencement of oil sales from its Santa Ynez Pipeline System, marking a significant operational milestone for the company’s offshore energy development activities. Oil flow began on March 29, 2026, with the pipeline system filled from Las Flores Canyon to Pentland Station at a rate exceeding 50,000 barrels per day. The development represents a key step in restoring and scaling production from the Santa Ynez Unit, located in federal waters offshore California.
Current production at Platform Harmony stands at approximately 22,000 gross barrels of oil per day. In addition, regulatory clearance has been secured for the restart of Platform Heritage following final inspection by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement. Production at Platform Heritage is expected to begin immediately, with output projected to exceed 30,000 barrels per day.
Sable also plans to bring Platform Hondo online by the end of the second quarter of 2026, with anticipated production of more than 10,000 barrels per day. Once fully operational, the combined output from these platforms is expected to significantly increase the company’s overall production capacity.
Jim Flores, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sable Offshore, said the initiation of oil sales underscores the company’s commitment to delivering domestically produced energy. He emphasized the importance of supplying American-produced oil through domestic infrastructure to support both commercial demand and national energy needs.
The Santa Ynez Pipeline System plays a central role in transporting crude oil from offshore production sites to onshore processing and refining facilities. Its activation reflects coordinated efforts across operational, regulatory, and infrastructure domains.
Headquartered in Houston, Sable Offshore focuses on the responsible development of offshore energy resources. The company brings extensive experience in operating in California’s regulatory and environmental landscape, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and sustainable practices.
