Honeywell and Rhombus Partner to Deliver AI-Powered Cloud Security Solutions for Modern Buildings

Honeywell

Honeywell has announced a strategic collaboration with Rhombus to introduce a new generation of AI-driven, cloud-based video and access control solutions designed to modernize building security. The partnership combines Honeywell’s expertise in access control systems with Rhombus’ advanced cloud video management platform. Together, the companies aim to deliver an integrated solution that simplifies deployment, enhances scalability, and improves operational efficiency for organizations managing physical security across multiple locations.

The offering reflects a broader industry shift toward cloud-enabled security infrastructure. As organizations increasingly adopt digital-first approaches, cloud-based video systems are emerging as a key growth segment, driven by the need for flexibility, real-time insights, and centralized management.

The joint solution integrates video surveillance and access control into a unified cloud platform, enabling users to manage security systems remotely while benefiting from AI-powered analytics. These capabilities allow organizations to move beyond traditional monitoring by extracting actionable insights from video data, supporting faster incident response and improved decision-making.

Billal Hammoud, President and CEO of Honeywell Building Automation, said the collaboration strengthens Honeywell’s efforts to advance connected building technologies. He noted that combining global reach and domain expertise with cloud-native innovation will enable customers to deploy more resilient and intelligent security systems.

Garrett Larsson, co-founder and CEO of Rhombus, highlighted the importance of open platforms in modern security solutions. He added that the partnership will provide customers with access to integrated technologies spanning video, access control, sensors, and building management systems.

Through the agreement, Honeywell will distribute Rhombus solutions via its global network of channel partners and system integrators. The companies also plan to deepen integration between their platforms, embedding advanced analytics directly into access control systems to enhance functionality and user experience.

The solution is designed for a wide range of commercial environments, including retail chains, educational institutions, fitness centers, and distributed enterprise sites. Initial availability will focus on North America, with plans for expansion into additional regions. This collaboration builds on Honeywell’s ongoing strategy to modernize building security through cloud connectivity and intelligent automation, enabling organizations to create safer, more efficient, and future-ready environments.
