Runaya Green Tech Private Limited, a sustainability-driven company operating in the natural resources sector, has received ‘CRISIL A/Stable’ long-term and ‘CRISIL A1’ short-term credit ratings from CRISIL Ratings. The ratings reflect the company’s strong operating performance, improving scale, and healthy financial risk profile.
According to CRISIL, Runaya recorded nearly fourfold revenue growth to ₹270 crore in FY25, driven by increased production and improved utilization across its critical minerals portfolio. Revenue is expected to double in FY26, supported by newly commissioned capacities and rising demand for metals such as cadmium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and antimony.
Runaya operates a technology-led, waste-to-wealth manufacturing model, supported by proprietary recovery processes and international technology partnerships. The company’s facilities are powered entirely by renewable energy, aligning its operations with sustainability and responsible manufacturing practices.
The rating agency highlighted Runaya’s long-term supply and offtake agreements with anchor customers, which provide strong revenue visibility. CRISIL also cited the company’s low leverage, robust cash accruals, and interest coverage exceeding five times in FY25 as key strengths underpinning the rating.
Runaya’s critical minerals support India’s growing electric vehicle, battery, and advanced manufacturing ecosystems. By strengthening domestic availability of these materials, the company contributes to reducing import dependence and improving supply chain resilience.
Neha Bhandari, Group Chief Financial Officer, stated that the rating reflects disciplined financial management, operational execution, and a scalable business model aligned with India’s energy transition. The company’s facilities in Rajasthan are progressing toward water-positive operations by 2027, reinforcing its long-term sustainability commitment.
Runaya, a Vedanta Group company, focuses on deploying advanced technologies to drive sustainability and efficiency across the natural resources sector. Its portfolio spans circular economy solutions, gas-atomized metallurgical powders, critical mineral recovery, aluminium industry innovations, and advanced composite products. The company is also recognised for its industry-leading gender diversity, with women comprising 50% of its workforce.
