RSWM Ltd, a leading Indian textile manufacturer and the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has entered into an agreement with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) for the supply of 60 MW of renewable energy, marking a significant leap forward in its sustainability goals. Under this partnership, AESL will oversee the complete green power value chain to meet RSWM’s additional energy needs. RSWM has invested ₹60 crore under the Group Captive Scheme with a renewable energy generator to supply 31.53 crore units of green power annually to its manufacturing units across Rajasthan. This move will boost RSWM’s renewable energy contribution from 33% to 70% of its total energy consumption.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to sustainable growth and positions RSWM as a frontrunner in responsible energy transition,” said Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of RSWM Ltd. “By sourcing 70% of our total energy from renewables—more than double India’s national clean energy average of 31%—we continue to set new benchmarks for the textile sector.”
Kandarp Patel, CEO of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, added, “This collaboration demonstrates how renewable energy can drive industrial growth while ensuring environmental responsibility. As a leading provider of energy solutions to commercial and industrial consumers, AESL is proud to support RSWM’s decarbonization journey.”
Echoing this sentiment, Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director of RSWM Ltd., stated, “Our ₹60 crore equity investment represents a pivotal step in our sustainability roadmap. By integrating hybrid power sources, we are reducing our carbon footprint and strengthening long-term energy security.”
RSWM continues to embed sustainability across its operations—from renewable energy and circular material use to water conservation—positioning itself as a future-ready textile leader contributing to a regenerative economy. AESL’s commercial and industrial (C&I) vertical provides customized energy solutions for large electricity consumers, delivering reliable, cost-effective, and increasingly green power. The company aims to build a 7,000 MW C&I portfolio within the next five years.
