Royal Enfield has launched the updated Continental GT 650 in India, bringing new features and styling changes to its popular café racer motorcycle. The latest version retains the model’s classic design and twin-cylinder performance while adding practical upgrades for everyday riding.
The updated Continental GT 650 is available in four colour options, with retail sales beginning across India from August 14, 2026 through Royal Enfield dealerships. The new model gets a black-painted instrument cowl that gives the motorcycle a sharper appearance. It also features new LED trafficators for improved visibility and a USB Type-C fast charging port, allowing riders to charge compatible devices while on the move.
The Rocker Red colour option now comes with a blacked-out engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels. The Apex Grey variant continues to be offered, adding to the range of choices for customers looking for a distinctive café racer. Powering the Continental GT 650 is Royal Enfield’s 648cc parallel-twin engine with air-oil cooling. The engine produces 47 horsepower at 7,150 rpm and peak torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,250 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox designed to provide smooth and responsive performance across different riding conditions.
The motorcycle continues to use a steel tubular double-cradle frame developed in collaboration with Harris Performance. The chassis is supported by telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers, providing a balanced and stable ride. The Continental GT 650 retains its distinctive café racer styling, including a sculpted fuel tank, committed riding position and classic silhouette inspired by the café racer motorcycles of the 1950s and 1960s. The latest updates are aimed at adding modern convenience without changing the motorcycle’s core design or riding character.
The Continental GT 650 has established itself as one of Royal Enfield’s key offerings in the mid-size motorcycle segment. The updated model continues to combine traditional styling with modern engineering, making it suitable for riders seeking a motorcycle with a distinctive design and engaging performance.
With the latest changes Royal Enfield has focused on improving functionality and visual appeal while retaining the character that has defined the Continental GT 650. The motorcycle will be available at Royal Enfield dealerships across India from August 14, 2026.
