Renault India has announced the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI)-certified fuel efficiency figures for the new Renault Duster Turbo TCe 100, reinforcing the vehicle’s position as a practical and efficient offering in the competitive SUV segment. The model has achieved a certified fuel economy of 19.41 km per litre, combining everyday usability with strong performance characteristics.
The latest certification reflects Renault’s continued focus on engineering vehicles that address evolving customer expectations around fuel efficiency, drivability, and ownership costs. As consumers increasingly seek vehicles that offer both performance and economy, the Duster Turbo TCe 100 has been designed to deliver a balanced driving experience across urban and highway conditions.
At the heart of the SUV is a turbocharged petrol engine producing 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, enabling smooth power delivery, responsive acceleration, and optimized fuel consumption. The powertrain has been specifically calibrated to work in harmony with the vehicle’s architecture, ensuring efficiency without compromising driving dynamics.
According to Renault, the Turbo TCe 100 engine incorporates advanced turbocharging technology and efficient combustion systems that maximize energy utilization while reducing fuel consumption. This approach allows drivers to enjoy strong performance and extended driving range without sacrificing everyday practicality.
Dr V Vikraman, Chief of Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said the fuel-efficiency achievement reflects the company’s emphasis on delivering customer value through intelligent engineering. He noted that the combination of turbocharging technology and an optimized transmission system provides an ideal mix of performance, responsiveness, and economy for modern driving requirements.
The new Duster is built on Renault’s advanced RGMP platform, which has been developed to support improved structural rigidity, driving comfort, and vehicle dynamics. The Turbo TCe 100 powertrain has been engineered specifically for this platform, creating a seamless integration between engine, transmission, and chassis systems.
Renault believes the Duster’s combination of efficiency, practicality, and performance will appeal to customers seeking a versatile SUV for daily commuting as well as long-distance travel. The certified fuel economy further enhances the model’s overall value proposition by helping reduce running costs over the vehicle’s lifetime.
