Remsons Industries Ltd has appointed automotive industry veteran Rahul Prabhakar Desai as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 3, 2026, as the company looks to strengthen operations, expand its business and drive the next phase of growth in the global automotive components market. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting on July 27, 2026, following a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Mr Desai succeeds Amit Srivastava, whose resignation has been accepted by the Board and will take effect at the close of business on September 4, 2026.
The Board placed on record its appreciation for Mr Srivastava’s contribution and leadership during his tenure with the company. Mr Desai brings more than 30 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, including over 17 years in CEO and senior leadership positions. His experience covers manufacturing operations, business expansion, cost management, operational transformation and profitability improvement across domestic and international businesses.
Before joining Remsons Industries, Mr Desai served as Executive Director and CEO of Pinnacle Industries Limited, where he managed operations across five manufacturing facilities with full profit and loss responsibility. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade as CEO of CIE India, overseeing multiple business divisions and 10 manufacturing plants.
Mr Desai has also held senior leadership roles at GKN Sinter Metals Limited and Inteva Products India. During his career, he has led greenfield manufacturing projects and implemented Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma programmes to improve productivity and operational efficiency. His experience also includes cost optimisation, ESG-focused operations, strategic partnerships and development of high-performing teams serving global automotive OEMs.
Mr Desai holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He has completed executive leadership programmes at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and advanced production management programmes in Japan and the United States.
His appointment comes as Remsons Industries continues to expand its capabilities across automotive components and strengthen its position with vehicle manufacturers in India and overseas. The company supplies components for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and off-highway vehicles.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Remsons operates manufacturing facilities in Gurgaon, Pune, Pardi and Daman in India, as well as Stourport and Redditch in the UK. Its product portfolio includes control cables, gear shifters, pedal boxes, winches, lighting and sensors.
With more than five decades of industry experience, Remsons continues to focus on technology, product development, manufacturing efficiency and customer partnerships. The company’s leadership transition is expected to support its plans for sustainable growth and stronger global market presence.
