Prodalim, a global player in juice and specialty ingredient solutions, has expanded its SOLOS division with the launch of a dedicated dealcoholization and aroma recovery site in Valencia, Spain. The facility is now fully operational and will enhance Prodalim’s ability to serve the rapidly expanding no- and low-alcohol (NoLo) beverage category across Europe.

The company also confirmed that an additional SOLOS facility in California is planned to open in the coming months, further increasing capacity. Growth in the NoLo sector continues to accelerate as consumers shift toward mindful drinking and health-focused lifestyles. Industry projections estimate the global NoLo market at around USD 25 billion in 2025, with expected annual growth of 8–10%, supported by expansion across beers, wines, spirits and functional beverage formats.

Prodalim highlighted that retaining aroma, flavour and authenticity during alcohol removal remains one of the most complex technical challenges in NoLo production. SOLOS is designed to address this issue by enabling producers to maintain the sensory identity of the original beverage. Central to the platform is SOLOS’ proprietary, patent-based Aroma Recovery System (ARS), developed over more than a decade to capture and reintroduce aroma compounds during dealcoholization.

The Valencia site provides a complete service platform including dealcoholization, aroma recovery, pilot trials and white-label development. Prodalim said the facility is designed for close technical collaboration, allowing customers to move faster from concept stage to commercial production.

The expansion of SOLOS reflects Prodalim’s broader transformation into a vertically integrated ingredient solutions group, designed to serve evolving needs across the global food and beverage industry. As part of this shift, the company has reorganised its operations to strengthen capabilities across sourcing, processing, innovation and customer delivery.

Prodalim now operates through three dedicated divisions: Juice Solutions, which supports juice producers through sourcing, formulation, blending and logistics; Specialty Ingredients & Solutions, offering products such as flavours, FTNF essences, essential oils, citrus fibres, natural colours and beverage compounds; and SOLOS, which delivers premium dealcoholization and aroma recovery solutions for the fast-growing no- and low-alcohol (NoLo) beverage segment. All divisions are supported by Prodalim’s vertically integrated supply chain built around regenerative sourcing and circular economy principles.

Prodalim is a global supplier of juice and specialty ingredient solutions, working across a tree-to-table model to support sustainable innovation in the food and beverage sector. With a global footprint and vertically integrated sourcing network, Prodalim develops solutions designed to improve health outcomes while supporting sustainability goals.
