Paperex 2025, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to the pulp, paper, packaging, and allied industries, is set to welcome more than 700 exhibitors as India strengthens its position as the fastest-growing paper market globally. Organised by Informa Markets in India, the 17th edition of the event will take place from 3–6 December 2025 at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi. The event will bring together global leaders, industry veterans, policy makers, and technology innovators to explore the future of paper manufacturing, sustainable packaging, recycling processes, and digital transformation across the value chain.

With a legacy spanning over three decades, Paperex 2025 is expected to attract over 33,000 business visitors representing manufacturers, converters, technology providers, raw material suppliers, traders, and major buyers from India and abroad. The exhibition is being hosted in collaboration with the Indian Agro & Recycled Paper Mills Association (IARPMA) and is supported by the World Paper Forum, reinforcing its global relevance and industry scale.

The global pulp and paper industry, valued at USD 357 billion in 2023, is projected to reach USD 391 billion by 2032. India leads the global growth path and is projected to expand to USD 35.5 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 13.4 percent, driven by rising demand in the education sector, packaging consumption, e-commerce, and organized retail. With 526 operational mills and current per-capita paper consumption at 15 kg—well below the global average—the potential for further expansion remains significant.

India’s paper packaging market was valued at ₹1,67,110 crore (USD 19.07 billion) as of August 2025 and continues to grow at a rapid pace of 19.48 percent CAGR. The industry is distinguished by its strong shift toward sustainable raw materials, with 74–76 percent of current paper production derived from recovered paper and recycled fibre, 18–20 percent from wood and bamboo, and 6–8 percent from agricultural residue including bagasse and wheat straw. This evolving sustainability shift aligns closely with the rising demand for environmentally responsible packaging solutions and the growing green economy.

At Paperex 2025, exhibitors will showcase next-generation machinery, Industry 4.0 automation systems, IoT-enabled paper processing, sustainable pulping technologies, recycling solutions, carbon-neutral production models, smart packaging systems, and innovative barrier materials. The event will serve as a platform for collaboration, trade, technology exchange, and strategic investments as the industry accelerates its transition toward a circular and low-carbon economy.

Speaking ahead of the event, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said, “Paperex 2025 represents progress and transformation for the global paper ecosystem. As the world’s largest paper-focused event, we aim to highlight India’s evolution into one of the most competitive and fastest-growing markets in this sector. With the industry already recycling 68 percent of materials—one of the highest rates globally—we are entering an era driven by digitalisation, innovation, sustainability, and collaboration. The technologies on display at Paperex 2025 demonstrate a future where efficiency, environmental responsibility, and advanced engineering work together to shape the next phase of industrial growth.”

The 2025 edition will also feature a high-level industry conference organised by IARPMA, along with global networking programmes hosted by the World Paper Forum, bringing perspectives from international manufacturers, solution providers, and trade bodies. Leading companies including JK Paper, APRIL Fiber Resource, TNPL, West Coast Paper, Orient Paper, Trident Group, Andhra Paper, and BILT Graphic Paper will participate, representing every segment of the supply chain—from raw material sourcing to advanced processing and packaging.

Over the years, Paperex has evolved into a global benchmark platform for innovation, investment, and industry advancement. The upcoming edition reinforces India’s growing leadership in sustainable paper manufacturing and packaging while inviting the international community to engage with the ideas, opportunities, and technologies shaping a responsible and future-ready industry.
