Optical Gaging Products (OGP), a pioneer in optical dimensional metrology, will showcase its latest precision measurement technologies at IMTS 2026, being held from September 14–19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Under the theme “Optics at the Core. Certainty to Measure More.”, OGP will present its portfolio of optical and multisensor measurement solutions developed to help manufacturers improve inspection speed, repeatability and measurement capability.

The company’s systems are built around advanced optical technology, ranging from compact video measurement platforms to sophisticated multisensor systems. OGP has focused on optical innovation for more than eight decades, with the SmartScope platform, introduced in 1992, becoming a key part of its precision measurement portfolio.

A major highlight at IMTS 2026 will be the global debut of SmartScope E18, a fully automatic three-axis video measurement system designed to provide a large XY measurement range in a compact benchtop configuration. Featuring a fixed-lens IntelliCentric-E optical system and VIRTUAL ZOOM technology, the system delivers high-resolution imaging for automated inspection. Its 300 x 300 mm stage provides increased measurement capacity while maintaining a compact footprint.

SmartScope E18 comes standard with Measure-X software, while OGP’s ZONE3 software is also available across the SmartScope E-Series for applications requiring full 3D capabilities and advanced software functions. OGP will also display the recently announced StarLite S1, a semi-automatic three-axis video measurement system equipped with the IntelliCentric-S optical system, VIRTUAL ZOOM technology and advanced LED illumination.

The SmartScope M130 will demonstrate OGP’s multisensor approach by combining optical measurement with additional sensing capabilities, allowing manufacturers to inspect a wider range of features using a single system. The SmartScope Quest 300 will showcase the company’s highest-accuracy and highest-performance SmartScope platform for complex 3D inspection applications.

For shop-floor inspection, OGP will present its c-vision range, which combines video measurement capabilities with the rugged form factor of an optical comparator. The company will also demonstrate its Fusion large-field-of-view multisensor systems for high-throughput measurement of feature-rich components.

OGP’s software portfolio will form another part of the exhibition. ZONE3 Metrology Software supports automated multisensor inspection and repeatable measurement processes, while EVOLVE Design enables users to work with CAD models and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI), including GD&T proofing aligned with ASME Y14.5 and ISO 1101. EVOLVE SPC provides statistical process control capabilities for monitoring manufacturing processes and identifying trends. OGP will also participate in the Smartforce Student Summit, engaging students and educators on the role of metrology, automation, optics and software in advanced manufacturing.

OGPcan experience OGP’s technologies at Booth 134700 in the East Hall at IMTS 2026. OGP is a division of Quality Vision International and designs and manufactures precision optical and multisensor metrology systems at its facility in Rochester, New York, USA.
