Nissan Motor India has crossed a major milestone, exporting over 1.1 million units since it began operations. This achievement reflects Nissan’s commitment to its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ philosophy. The milestone was reached on June 29, 2024, at Ennore Kamarajar Port, Tamil Nadu, with the Nissan Magnite being the landmark unit exported.

In June 2024, Nissan reported cumulative wholesale figures of 10,284 units, showing a Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth of 76.3% and Month-on-Month (M-o-M) growth of 65.7%. Export wholesale accounted for 8,177 units, with a Y-o-Y growth of 149% and M-o-M growth of 104%. Domestic wholesale stood at 2,107 units.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, expressed gratitude to the team for this significant achievement. “The Magnite and Sunny drive our export business, showing the high demand for Nissan cars made in India. Our export strategy and the strong demand for Magnite reflect our focus on meeting customer needs worldwide.”

Despite challenges like the recent nationwide heatwave, Nissan remains resilient. Vatsa also mentioned that Nissan is preparing to launch a new global SUV in India and continues to innovate and adapt to market changes.

Since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has sold over 140,000 units domestically and internationally. The car combines Japanese design excellence with efficient production in India, embodying Nissan’s manufacturing philosophy.

As part of its growth strategy, Nissan Motor India is expanding its network across the country. With new additions in Srinagar, Salem, Delhi, and Durgapur, Nissan now has 272 touchpoints, providing quality sales and service experiences nationwide.
