Neural Concept, a Swiss AI-native engineering technology company, has established a direct commercial presence in India with teams based in Bengaluru and Pune. The expansion marks the company’s first dedicated footprint in the country and comes in response to growing demand from Indian and global manufacturers using its Engineering Intelligence platform in the region.
The new India presence will provide customers with direct access to local commercial support, training and coordination with Neural Concept’s global engineering teams. The company said the expansion will help manufacturers deploy artificial intelligence across product design and simulation workflows while supporting engineering teams working on increasingly complex products.
India’s automotive and industrial sectors are facing growing pressure to shorten research and development cycles amid electrification requirements, sustainability targets and increased global competition. Engineering AI is increasingly being used to automate tasks across design and simulation, enabling teams to evaluate more design options earlier in the development process.
Pierre Baqué, CEO and Co-Founder of Neural Concept, said, “India is becoming a major centre for global engineering R&D, and we are investing where talent, industrial capability and engineering ambition are coming together. By establishing a direct presence, we are bringing our Engineering Intelligence platform closer to one of the world’s most dynamic automotive and manufacturing R&D ecosystems.” He added that the company aims to help engineering teams move beyond isolated AI experiments and create measurable improvements across product development while retaining control over the intelligence supporting their designs.
India is one of the world’s largest automotive markets and has developed into an important centre for global product engineering. The country also produces around 1.5 million engineering graduates each year, while several international manufacturers operate major engineering and technology centres across the country.
Sudhir Padaki, Regional Sales Director, India at Neural Concept, said, “Indian OEMs and engineering teams are increasingly contributing to global product programmes and require partners who understand local market conditions. Our India team will combine local customer relationships with Neural Concept’s global engineering expertise to support the adoption of AI across design and simulation workflows.”
The India expansion builds on Neural Concept’s international growth and follows the establishment of offices in Munich, New York and Seoul. The company also recently completed a $100 million Series C funding round led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
