Mindgrove Technologies, an IIT Madras-incubated semiconductor company focused on Indian chip design, has announced plans to commercially launch its second System-on-Chip (SoC), the V2600, by late 2026. Built specifically for CCTV and surveillance use cases, the chip is designed to deliver strong end-to-end security while enabling edge AI, allowing video analytics and decision-making to run directly on the chip without depending on cloud processing.

The V2600 marks the first product in Mindgrove’s MG Vision family, a series intended for a broad range of vision-led applications. Target segments include secure surveillance systems, automotive dashcams and driver-assistance solutions, industrial machine vision, multi-input biometric access control systems, smart city monitoring infrastructure, smart TVs and other connected consumer electronics. By processing visual data at the device level, the chip supports real-time response and reduces reliance on cloud connectivity, while keeping sensitive video streams under tighter control.

“Demand for vision-based systems is accelerating across security, mobility and automation,” said Shashwath T R, Co-founder and CEO of Mindgrove Technologies. “At the same time, organisations are paying closer attention to trusted technology supply chains and the handling of sensitive data. With MG Vision SoCs, we are addressing the need for credible alternatives in surveillance and vision applications. Security is engineered directly into the silicon so visual information remains protected from capture through processing.”

The company said the product roadmap aligns with growing global attention on data sovereignty and increasing scrutiny of connected surveillance infrastructure. Designed for deployments where compliance and trust are essential, the V2600 is positioned for use in national infrastructure projects, enterprise security environments and large-scale commercial installations.

Explaining the design approach, Sharan Srinivas J, Co-founder and CTO of Mindgrove Technologies, said the MG Vision architecture is built to manage complex vision workloads at the edge, where low latency, reliability and data protection matter most. By combining compute, vision processing and hardware-level security into one tightly integrated platform, the company aims to help developers build high-performance vision systems while avoiding cloud exposure of sensitive data.

With the V2600, Mindgrove expands its silicon portfolio after the introduction of Secure IoT, India’s first commercial-grade high-performance microcontroller. Together, these products support the company’s focus on building secure, scalable and globally competitive semiconductor solutions designed and developed in India.
