MIC Electronics Limited, a leading provider of intelligent electronic display and communication solutions, has received the Completion Certificate from the Rajkot Division of Western Railway for the successful execution of its Coach Indicator Board project. The certification marks the completion of a key passenger information infrastructure initiative and highlights the company’s capability to deliver complex railway technology projects in line with stringent operational requirements.
Issued by the Rajkot Division of Western Railway, the Completion Certificate confirms that the project has been completed to the satisfaction of the railway authorities, with all contractual obligations fulfilled, no outstanding dues pending, and the final bill duly settled. The project involved the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and system integration of Coach Indicator Boards across six platforms at Surendranagar, Bhavnagar Terminus, Hapa, and Okha railway stations. The integrated passenger information system has been developed to provide real-time coach position updates, enabling passengers to locate their designated coaches efficiently before train arrival.
Commenting on the development, Rakshit Mathur, Chief Executive Officer, MIC Electronics Limited, said, “The successful completion and certification of this project reflects our engineering capabilities and disciplined execution across every stage of delivery. From system design to final commissioning, our team worked closely with railway authorities to implement a solution that meets operational requirements while improving the passenger experience. As Indian Railways continues to modernise its infrastructure, we remain focused on delivering dependable technology solutions that support smarter and more efficient railway operations.”
Designed for India’s diverse operating conditions, MIC Electronics’ Coach Indicator Boards feature high-brightness LED displays that maintain clear visibility during both daytime and nighttime operations. The systems are integrated with centralised railway information networks to display accurate coach positioning and train information in real time. Built to withstand vibration, dust, humidity, and extreme weather conditions, the solutions are engineered for reliable long-term performance across busy railway environments.
The deployment is expected to improve passenger convenience by reducing uncertainty during boarding and helping commuters identify coach locations before trains arrive. The system also supports railway personnel through centralised information management, enabling quicker updates during schedule revisions, platform changes, and operational disruptions while reducing manual intervention.
The successful completion of the Rajkot Division project further strengthens MIC Electronics’ presence in India’s railway technology sector and reinforces its expertise in delivering intelligent passenger information systems that support the ongoing modernisation of the country’s rail network.
