Maiden Forgings Limited (MFL), a leading manufacturer of bright steel bars, wires, and pneumatic nails, has commenced commercial operations at its new manufacturing facility in Bhojpur, Bihar, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and operational consolidation strategy.. Operations at the new plant officially began on July 18, with product dispatches initiated during the same week.
The commissioning of the facility completes the first phase of MFL’s plant consolidation programme through the successful relocation of Unit II to a larger, technologically advanced manufacturing site designed to enhance production efficiency and support future business growth. The Bhojpur facility has been equipped with upgraded infrastructure and modern manufacturing capabilities to improve operational performance, streamline production processes, and strengthen the company’s ability to meet increasing customer demand across key industry segments.
As part of its consolidation strategy, Maiden Forgings expects to generate substantial cost efficiencies once the remaining phases are completed. The company estimates minimum annual savings of approximately ₹2.5 crore through lower administrative expenses, reduced power and fuel consumption, and optimized labour costs. These efficiencies are expected to enhance overall profitability while creating a stronger foundation for long-term expansion.
The new facility also positions the company to pursue additional industry approvals and certifications required for specialized manufacturing. Maiden Forgings already holds registrations with the Ordnance Factory Board and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and has executed business-to-government (B2G) orders for leading public sector organizations, including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), NTPC Limited, and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). The upgraded plant is expected to further strengthen its credentials for participating in high-value industrial and defence projects.
Commenting on the development, Nishant Garg, Managing Director of Maiden Forgings Limited, said the commissioning of the Bhojpur facility marks an important milestone in the company’s consolidation roadmap. He noted that the new plant enhances manufacturing capabilities, improves operational efficiency, and provides greater flexibility to serve customers with higher-quality products and faster deliveries.
Mr Garg added that the successful completion of the first phase creates a strong platform for the company’s next stage of growth, particularly in the business-to-government, defence, and value-added product segments. Maiden Forgings is now focused on completing the remaining phases of its consolidation programme while broadening its product portfolio to address evolving market requirements.
