Mekr Technologies, a fast-growing consumer electronics design and manufacturing platform, has secured ₹67 crore in Series A funding led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund. The investment will support the company’s next phase of growth focused on product innovation, supply chain localization, manufacturing automation, and global expansion.
Founded in 2022 by Anand Yadav and Gaurang Kuchhal, Mekr operates as a full-stack Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) serving the home appliances, kitchen appliances, personal care, and automotive accessories segments. The company has rapidly emerged as a key player in India’s growing electronics manufacturing ecosystem by combining product engineering, modular design architecture, prototyping, tooling, certification, and mass manufacturing under a single integrated platform.
The company has already developed more than 100 SKUs and works with over 40 brands including Croma, Wipro, Amazon through Amazon Basics, and Flipkart. Mekr’s operating model focuses on reducing product development timelines while improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality. The company leverages shared technology platforms including BLDC motor systems, heating systems, precision gear assemblies, load cells, and in-house mold design capabilities to create scalable and cost-efficient product ecosystems.
Vikas Verma, Partner at Avaana Capital, said Mekr is building foundational engineering and manufacturing capabilities that can significantly reduce India’s reliance on imported appliance components. He added that the company’s modular, design-led manufacturing approach supports faster innovation, stronger supply chain resilience, and globally competitive production capabilities.
According to industry estimates, India’s small home appliances market is valued at over ₹40,000 crore and continues to grow at an annual rate of 7–9 percent. However, the sector remains heavily dependent on imports for critical components and manufacturing systems. Mekr aims to address this gap through a deeply localized manufacturing and engineering ecosystem designed specifically for Indian and global markets.
The fresh capital infusion will be used to strengthen research and development, proprietary tooling systems, advanced product engineering, and supplier localization initiatives. The company also plans to invest in manufacturing automation, quality systems enhancement, and export-focused infrastructure to support international market expansion.
Anand Yadav, Co-founder of Mekr, said the company is building a technology-driven manufacturing ecosystem capable of delivering globally competitive products at scale. He noted that India is entering a transformative phase in manufacturing, and Mekr aims to build the engineering and supply chain infrastructure required to support that transition.
Co-founder Gaurang Kuchhal added that Mekr’s long-term objective is to become India’s leading ODM platform by integrating advanced engineering with agile manufacturing capabilities. He said the company is focused on enabling brands to accelerate innovation while strengthening India’s self-reliance in appliance manufacturing.
Shiv Kapoor, Vice President at Titan Capital Winners Fund, highlighted the company’s rapid scale-up and expanding multi-product portfolio. He said Mekr is positioned to become a critical pillar supporting India’s ambitions to emerge as a global electronics and appliance manufacturing hub.
As global supply chains continue to diversify and shift toward resilient manufacturing ecosystems, Mekr is positioning itself as a strategic enabler of next-generation appliance production from India. The company’s integrated platform is expected to support both domestic demand and export-oriented manufacturing opportunities across global markets.
