ediaTek, the world’s largest fabless semiconductor company, powering close to two billion connected devices annually, hosted MediaTek Tech Day 2025 in Bengaluru. The event, themed “Innovation, possibilities, and imagination in every chip,” showcased the company’s latest advancements across its premium and flagship Dimensity portfolio.
The event brought together members of the media, technology analysts, and leading retail partners, including representatives from OPPO and vivo, for discussions on emerging technology trends and the future of mobile computing. A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 system-on-chip, reaffirming MediaTek’s leadership in high-performance mobile processing.
Built on a third-generation All Big Core CPU architecture, the Dimensity 9500 integrates a 4.21GHz ultra core, industry-first four-channel UFS 4.1 support, the MediaTek Imagiq 1190 imaging processor, three premium cores, four performance cores, and the Arm Mali G1-Ultra GPU, delivering significant gains in AI processing, gaming performance, and power efficiency. MediaTek also showcased its expanding ecosystem partnerships, including flagship smartphones powered by Dimensity chipsets such as the OPPO Find X9 series, vivo X300 series, and premium devices built on the Dimensity 8000 series.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek India, said “At MediaTek, we see technology as a means to create meaningful experiences that improve everyday life. Our focus is on pushing technological boundaries while delivering secure, efficient, and impactful solutions. India remains central to our long-term strategy, both as a key market and as a growing innovation hub. We continue to expand our R&D footprint here to support the next phase of digital transformation.”
The event also featured a panel discussion titled ‘Chipset Intelligence at the Core of Tomorrow’s Photography and Imaging Experiences’, moderated by Anuj Sidharth, Director – Marketing and Communications, India & SEA, MediaTek India. The panel included Anku Jain, Faisal Kawoosa, Chief Analyst, Techarc, and professional photographer Aman Chotani, who discussed emerging imaging trends, the growing role of chipset intelligence, and how advanced silicon is shaping next-generation smartphone photography.
Faisal Kawoosa, Chief Analyst, Techarc, noted “Flagship smartphones are increasingly defined by real-world performance rather than headline specifications. Our research shows that the processor has become the most critical factor influencing premium user experience—spanning speed, efficiency, imaging, gaming, and reliability. MediaTek’s Dimensity portfolio, particularly the Dimensity 9400, delivers a compelling balance of performance, power efficiency, and optimisation, positioning it at the centre of the AI-driven smartphone evolution.”
The event included live demonstrations and hands-on showcases spanning MediaTek’s expansive technology portfolio. Attendees experienced the company’s latest smartphone platforms powered by the Dimensity 9500, 9400+, 9400, 9400e, and 9300+ chipsets, along with a closer look at flagship processing capabilities highlighted by the Dimensity 9500’s third-generation All Big Core CPU architecture and advanced 12-core Mali G1-Ultra GPU.
Beyond smartphones, MediaTek presented innovations across a wide range of smart devices, including digital televisions, smart speakers, Wi-Fi routers, ARM-based Chromebooks, and smart projectors such as the Lumio Arc 5 and 7, alongside other connected home products. The showcases also offered forward-looking perspectives on emerging consumer technology trends for 2026, illustrating how advances in artificial intelligence, connectivity, and intelligent devices are set to redefine everyday digital experiences.
Anuj Sidharth added “India plays a dual role for MediaTek—as a strategic market and as a vital talent ecosystem. As the leading mobile SoC provider, including in India, we are enabling the next generation of on-device AI experiences. At Tech Day 2025, we highlighted the Dimensity 9500 as a major step forward in AI, imaging, and energy efficiency, empowering our OEM partners to deliver premium experiences globally.”
MediaTek continues to deliver semiconductor solutions across smartphones, smart TVs, Chromebooks, Wi-Fi products, IoT, automotive, data centres, and custom silicon. MediaTek Tech Day serves as a platform to demonstrate how the company’s innovations are shaping everyday digital experiences and making advanced technology more accessible worldwide.
