Mazak Corporation will showcase its Kentucky-designed and built VC-Ez 20 Vertical Machining Center at IMTS 2026, presenting manufacturers with a high-value machining solution that combines advanced performance, flexibility and ease of operation. Displayed at booth #338300, the VC-Ez 20 is designed for manufacturers seeking capabilities beyond conventional commodity machines while maintaining efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

The VC-Ez Series delivers enhanced cutting performance, improved surface quality and reduced machining cycles, enabling manufacturers to meet demanding production requirements with greater confidence. The VC-Ez 20 is equipped as standard with a powerful 40-taper 12,000 rpm spindle rated at 18 kW (25 hp) and a 30-tool automatic tool changer, providing the speed and flexibility required for a wide range of machining applications.

For operations requiring additional capacity, the machine can be configured with an optional 15,000 rpm spindle delivering 22 kW (29.5 hp) of power and 110 Nm (81.13 ft-lb) of torque, along with a 50-tool capacity automatic tool changer. The machine also supports robot automation integration through factory-supplied automatic doors and robot interfaces, allowing manufacturers to implement automated production solutions with greater ease.

“Manufacturers need the ability to produce complex parts efficiently while keeping operations simple and flexible,” said Dan Janka, President of Mazak Corporation. “The VC-Ez 20 combines ease of use with strong machining performance and the durability customers expect from Mazak.”

The VC-Ez 20 offers generous machining capacity with axis travels of 41.34 inches in X, 20.08 inches in Y and 25 inches in Z (1050 mm x 510 mm x 635 mm). It can accommodate workpieces up to 49.21 inches long, 19.37 inches wide and 22.4 inches tall, with maximum part weights of approximately 2,204 pounds.

Designed for high productivity, the machine features rapid traverse speeds of up to 1,654 inches per minute across all three axes, helping reduce production times and increase throughput. Despite its capabilities, the ergonomically designed VC-Ez 20 requires only 102.65 square feet of floor space, offering a footprint approximately 26.5% smaller than comparable machines.

The VC-Ez Series is available with multiple MAZATROL Smooth CNC control options to meet different programming and production needs. The standard MAZATROL SmoothEz control simplifies programming, while optional MAZATROL SmoothG and MAZATROL SmoothX controls provide advanced process management, enhanced programming capabilities and improved machining performance.

Backed by Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, the VC-Ez 20 is supported by comprehensive service, training and technical resources. Through Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF), manufacturers can also access factory-direct financing solutions designed to simplify equipment investment and support business growth.
