Mazak Corporation has announced plans to showcase a wide range of advanced machine tools, automation systems and digital manufacturing technologies at IMTS 2026, scheduled to take place from September 14 to 19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. At booth #338300, the company will demonstrate how manufacturers can improve productivity, streamline operations and address growing labour and cost pressures through integrated machining and automation solutions.

The exhibition comes at a time when industries such as aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, defence, oil and gas are facing increasing pressure to raise production levels while managing workforce shortages and operational costs. Mazak said its latest technologies are designed to help manufacturers achieve higher throughput with improved efficiency and reduced dependency on manual processes. The company will feature live machining demonstrations using real-world production components to highlight the performance of its Multi-Tasking systems, five-axis machining centres, CNC turning equipment, vertical and horizontal machining centres, and Swiss-style production turning machines.

Mazak President Dan Janka said manufacturers today are operating in a highly demanding environment shaped by inflation, tariffs and rising labour costs. He noted that production facilities are being pushed to increase output within shorter timelines while maintaining quality and cost control. According to him, automation and highly productive machining systems are becoming essential for manufacturers seeking to remain competitive.

Among the 15 machines scheduled for display will be models from Mazak’s NEO Series, Ez Series, Multi-Tasking platforms and SYNCREX Swiss-style production turning systems. The NEO Series reflects upgrades and redesign improvements aligned with current manufacturing requirements. One of the highlighted systems will be the INTEGREX i-200ST NEO Multi-Tasking machine integrated with gantry loader automation. The company will also present the HCN-5000 NEO Horizontal Machining Center combined with Mazak’s compact Multi-Pallet Pool system designed to improve unattended production and pallet management.

Mazak will also feature the Kentucky-designed Ez Series, including the VC-Ez 20 Vertical Machining Center equipped with MAZATROL SmoothG CNC controls and a two-pallet changer. The system has been developed to offer reliable performance, simplified operation and faster installation for a broad range of production environments.

The company’s DONE IN ONE® machining capability will be demonstrated through the QRX-50MSY and QTE-100MSY Multi-Tasking machines. These systems combine turning, milling and Y-axis functionality, enabling shops to process complex parts with fewer setups and improved efficiency.

Mazak will additionally display its QUICK TURN 350 Multi-Tasking machine integrated with the Ez LOADER collaborative robot automation system featuring a cobot arm, vision sensors and dedicated software for safe automated operations. The VARIAXIS C-700 and VARIAXIS i-800T machines will represent the company’s five-axis machining technologies. These systems are designed to support manufacturers transitioning into advanced multi-axis production while maintaining flexibility for automation integration.

Swiss-style production turning solutions from the SYNCREX Series will also be showcased for high-speed manufacturing of compact precision components used across multiple industries. In addition to machining technologies, Mazak will spotlight digital manufacturing and cybersecurity solutions designed to improve machine utilisation, production visibility and operational safety.

The company will also feature a Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing cell developed in partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The system combines additive and subtractive manufacturing processes using compact automation and integrated metrology for flexible production applications.
