Manufacturers looking to increase output, improve accuracy and strengthen shop-floor efficiency will get a first-hand look at advanced machine tool technology during Mazak’s Discover More with Mazak Northeast event, scheduled to be held at the company’s Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The two-day programme will feature live cutting demonstrations, automation systems and direct access to Mazak application engineers, offering visitors practical solutions to meet rising production demands. The event will focus on machining speed, precision, productivity and flexible manufacturing for a wide range of industries.

Visitors will see Mazak’s latest CNC horizontal machining centres, vertical machining centres, turning centres, multi-tasking systems and full five-axis machines operating on real-world component applications. The demonstrations are designed to show how manufacturers can reduce cycle times, improve part quality and streamline operations.

Among the key machines on display will be the HCN-4000 NEO Horizontal Machining Center, paired with a two-pallet changer that enables uninterrupted machining. While one pallet is in production, operators can prepare the next job on the second pallet, helping maximise spindle uptime. As part of Mazak’s NEO series, the machine is built for enhanced productivity and precision across both high-mix and high-volume environments.

For complex multi-sided machining, Mazak will feature the HCR-5000 simultaneous five-axis horizontal machining center. The machine offers rapid acceleration and deceleration, while its integrated spindle and motor design reduces vibration and minimises power loss. A high-accuracy tilting rotary table delivers positioning increments of 0.0001 degrees on the A and C axes, enabling precise machining of intricate part geometries.

Mazak will also highlight its DONE IN ONE® Multi-Tasking capabilities through the INTEGREX i-350H S AG and INTEGREX i-100H ST. These systems allow shops to process completed parts from raw material in a single setup, reducing handling time and improving consistency. Both machines include secondary spindles and are compatible with Mazak automation systems.

The models also feature Ai Thermal Shield, a system that compensates for temperature-related changes caused by spindle speed, coolant cycles and machine movement. This technology helps maintain stable machining accuracy over extended production runs.

In the compact automation category, the QT-Ez 10MY with milling and Y-axis capability will demonstrate Mazak’s Ez LOADER system, designed to improve performance and value while handling multiple operations in one setup.

Mazak will also showcase the VC-Ez 20 Vertical Machining Center, a Kentucky-built machine designed for ease of programming, setup and operation. The system includes Thermal Displacement Control for dependable and consistent part processing.

The Northeast Technology Center serves as a regional hub for process engineering, training and collaborative manufacturing development, with strong support for sectors such as medical technology and aerospace. All machines are supported through Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, while Mazak Capital Equipment Financing offers factory-direct financing options for customers seeking expansion.
