Mahindra’s Construction Equipment division (MCE) unveiled its new mini compactor, the Mahindra COMPAX, at the CII EXCON Exhibition held at BIEC, Bengaluru. Alongside this launch, the company also presented its upgraded CEV-V series of machines, designed to elevate performance standards with improved features, greater comfort, enhanced productivity, and stronger earning potential for customers.
Dr Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Mahindra Truck, Bus and Construction Equipment, and Executive Director & CEO – SML Mahindra Ltd, stated that Mahindra’s commercial vehicles and construction machinery are built on advanced engineering, fuel-efficient systems, and robust reliability—attributes that directly contribute to higher profitability for users. He added that the new COMPAX reflects Mahindra’s commitment to delivering durable, high-performing equipment suited to India’s evolving infrastructure needs.
Mahindra’s construction lineup includes the widely successful Mahindra RoadMaster motor grader, a market leader with over 18% share, known for its power and cost efficiency in road-building projects. The Mahindra EarthMaster backhoe loader is another strong performer, recognized for its high torque, fuel economy, and operator-friendly features that enhance on-site productivity.
MCE supports its machinery through a rapidly growing service and spares ecosystem featuring more than 136 touchpoints—including 3S dealerships, Saathi+ service centres, sales outlets, and a broad spare parts network. MCE’s portfolio includes backhoe loaders, motor graders, and now the newly launched mini compactor—all engineered with the philosophy of “Made in India, Made for India.” These machines are produced at Mahindra’s state-of-the-art facility in Chakan, Pune. With over 16,000 units operating nationwide, MCE holds the top position in the motor grader segment.
The machines come with a one-year/2000-hour warranty*, helping reduce maintenance concerns for customers. The company has strengthened its after-sales presence with mobile service vans and workshops that ensure quick response and wide coverage. In view of rising fuel prices, Mahindra has introduced a unique value proposition for its CEV-V 74HP EarthMaster SX and SXe backhoe loaders—Assured Highest Productivity per Liter of Diesel in standard mode.
MCE has also recorded strong export performance, expanding its distributor network across more than 20 countries, including key regions in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The company plans to further deepen its presence in Latin American and African markets.
