Magellanic Cloud Limited has secured a new contract worth ₹3.49 crore from the Ratlam Division of Western Railway for the deployment of surveillance infrastructure across 38 railway stations. The order has been awarded to Provigil Surveillance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magellanic Cloud. The company has received a Letter of Acceptance for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of telecom material related to the provision of CCTV systems at stations across the Ratlam Division.
The project will involve the deployment of an IP-based electronic surveillance system and is expected to further strengthen Magellanic Cloud’s presence in the Indian Railways surveillance and security sector. The latest order adds to the company’s growing portfolio of projects involving CCTV systems, networking and integrated surveillance infrastructure for railway and other critical infrastructure applications.
Magellanic Cloud said the contract reflects the ability of its subsidiary, Provigil Surveillance, to execute technology-based projects across large and geographically distributed railway networks. The company has been expanding its presence in the Indian Railways ecosystem through surveillance and technology solutions. Recent orders across different railway divisions and infrastructure projects have helped strengthen its experience in managing large-scale surveillance installations. The Ratlam Division order also supports Magellanic Cloud’s strategy to increase its presence in railway infrastructure and other critical sectors where security, monitoring and technology systems are becoming increasingly important.
Joseph Sudheer Thumma, Global CEO and Managing Director of Magellanic Cloud Limited, said the order from Western Railway’s Ratlam Division reflects the confidence placed in Provigil Surveillance and its capabilities. He said the project demonstrates the company’s ability to develop customer relationships and deliver technology-led surveillance solutions in complex railway environments.
Mr Thumma added that the continued modernisation of Indian Railways is creating opportunities for companies working in technology, security and surveillance. Magellanic Cloud plans to continue building its presence in this sector through its execution capabilities and technology offerings.
