LTM, the Business Creativity partner to the world’s largest enterprises, has announced a collaboration with IBM and Red Hat on Lightwell to help organisations strengthen open-source software supply chains through AI-driven vulnerability remediation. The collaboration is aimed at helping enterprises move beyond vulnerability detection and implement scalable remediation programmes that can address security risks while protecting business-critical applications.

As artificial intelligence accelerates both software development and the discovery of vulnerabilities, enterprises are facing growing pressure to identify, validate and deploy fixes at speed. Lightwell’s approach of providing validated remediation for production environments aligns with LTM’s objective of helping organisations build secure, resilient and operationally efficient software ecosystems. By combining AI-powered remediation with enterprise-grade validation and deployment support, the collaboration will help businesses address security challenges across increasingly complex open-source software environments.

Building on its long-standing relationship as an IBM Platinum Partner, LTM will support enterprises in converting AI-driven vulnerability discovery into measurable remediation outcomes through Lightwell’s open-source software dependency capabilities. The company’s planned service portfolio will cover remediation strategy, dependency analysis, risk-based prioritisation, remediation programme management, DevSecOps integration, testing and validation, and large-scale deployment support.

“As AI accelerates software development and vulnerability discovery, enterprises need a faster and more scalable approach to remediation. Lightwell represents a significant advancement in securing the open-source software supply chain by bringing AI-driven remediation and trusted software maintenance into the enterprise. Through our collaboration with IBM, LTM will help organisations strengthen their cyber resilience at scale,” said Chandan Pani, Chief Information Security Officer, LTM.

Organisations across industries increasingly depend on open-source software as a foundation for digital innovation, making effective vulnerability remediation an important part of cybersecurity and operational resilience. LTM’s capabilities in application modernisation, cloud, cybersecurity and DevSecOps position the company to help enterprises integrate remediation strategies into software engineering and security operations.

“Addressing today’s software supply chain challenges requires a collective defense,” said Sandip Patel, Managing Director, IBM India and South Asia. “As AI accelerates vulnerability discovery, collaboration across the ecosystem becomes increasingly important. Bringing LTM’s engineering and transformation expertise to Lightwell can help enterprises mitigate risk and build more resilient software supply chains.”

Ryan King, Vice President, AI and Infrastructure Partners, Red Hat, said the rapid pace of AI-driven vulnerability discovery has increased the need for faster patch delivery and broader industry collaboration. He noted that partners such as LTM can bring specialised engineering and transformation capabilities to help customers deploy Lightwell remediations more quickly and reduce exposure to zero-day exploits and production downtime.

LTM and IBM will continue working with clients to accelerate open-source innovation while reducing the operational burden associated with vulnerabilities across complex software environments. LTM, a Larsen & Toubro Group company, is an AI-centric global technology services organisation with more than 87,000 employees across 40 countries. Its capabilities span integrated operations, transformation and Business AI, supported by a global partner ecosystem.

IBM provides hybrid cloud, AI and consulting capabilities to clients across more than 175 countries. Its technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, support digital transformation across sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and critical infrastructure.
