Lubrizol will participate in World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai from February 9–12, 2026 (Booth #S13.B112), underscoring its focus on advancing medical device innovation through expanded global manufacturing capabilities. As part of this effort, Lubrizol is strengthening its footprint in India with new contract manufacturing capabilities, including a cutting-edge medical manufacturing facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, slated to become operational by mid-2026. The site will manufacture high-precision medical tubing for neurovascular and cardiovascular applications, such as balloon catheters and components used in minimally invasive procedures.

The Chennai facility will leverage Lubrizol’s expertise in medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and other biocompatible engineered polymers. Capabilities will include single- and multi-lumen precision extrusion of TPU, Nylon, Pebax® and other thermoplastics, tri-layer and balloon tubing, as well as advanced braiding—supporting applications ranging from electrostimulation to cardiovascular and neurovascular therapies.

“Our investments in India reflect a long-term commitment to local manufacturing, R&D and technical excellence,” said Mittal Shah, Business Head, Lubrizol. “By expanding high-performance, biocompatible manufacturing capabilities, we are enabling customers to accelerate medical device development for India and global markets.” Visitors can meet Lubrizol experts at Booth #S13.B112 during WHX Dubai to explore design, development and manufacturing solutions for next-generation medical devices.
