L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore has signed a six-year Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Framework Agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), marking another significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between the two organizations. The agreement positions L&T among a select group of contractors that will support PDO’s future engineering and infrastructure development initiatives in Oman.
Under the framework arrangement, L&T has been appointed as one of four EPC contractors eligible to participate in front-end engineering design (FEED) and EPC projects undertaken by PDO during the six-year term. The partnership is expected to provide opportunities for L&T to contribute its engineering expertise, project management capabilities, and advanced execution methodologies across a range of upcoming oil and gas developments.
The agreement reflects PDO’s confidence in L&T’s ability to execute complex hydrocarbon projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Leveraging its extensive global experience, L&T will support the delivery of critical energy infrastructure designed to enhance production capabilities and strengthen Oman’s oil and gas sector.
A key component of the collaboration is the continued focus on In-Country Value (ICV), a strategic initiative aimed at increasing local participation in the nation’s energy industry. Through the framework agreement, L&T will continue working closely with local suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers while supporting the development of skilled local talent and strengthening Oman’s industrial ecosystem. The company said these efforts are aligned with its commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and building long-term capabilities within the country.
Commenting on the agreement, ES Sathyanarayanan, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, said the partnership further reinforces the strong relationship that the company has built with Petroleum Development Oman over the years.
He noted that the framework agreement represents an important step in supporting PDO’s future development plans through safe, reliable, and innovative project execution. He added that L&T remains committed to delivering sustainable engineering solutions while contributing to Oman’s broader energy expansion strategy and long-term economic development goals.
