Locus Robotics has announced the appointment of two senior executives to its leadership team, reinforcing its focus on scaling operations and advancing its position in warehouse automation. Alan McDonald has joined as Vice President of Industry Solutions, while Ashley Wallace Jones has been named Vice President of Communications and Digital Experience.
The appointments come as the company continues to expand its global footprint and invest in next-generation automation technologies powered by artificial intelligence. The new leadership additions are expected to play a key role in strengthening customer engagement, accelerating business development, and enhancing brand visibility.
Alan McDonald brings more than three decades of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and material handling. Prior to joining Locus Robotics, he held senior leadership roles at GXO Logistics and GEODIS, where he focused on warehouse design and continuous improvement initiatives. His experience includes driving the adoption of automation technologies in complex operational environments, providing him with a practical understanding of industry challenges.
In his new role, Mr McDonald will lead efforts to align the company’s solutions with customer needs, support strategic growth initiatives, and enhance sales execution. His background in both operational leadership and transformation initiatives positions him to bridge the gap between technology capabilities and real-world business outcomes.
Ashley Wallace Jones brings over two decades of experience in marketing and communications, with a strong focus on high-growth technology companies. She previously led integrated marketing programs at PAN Communications, where she worked with global enterprise clients across sectors such as artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and cybersecurity.
At Locus Robotics, Ms Jones will oversee corporate communications, brand strategy, and digital experience initiatives. Her role will focus on strengthening the company’s messaging, building cohesive engagement across channels, and supporting its interactions with customers, partners, and investors.
These leadership changes align with the company’s broader strategy to advance its automation platform and expand its presence across industries including retail, healthcare, and third-party logistics. Locus Robotics continues to develop solutions that enable warehouse operators to manage fluctuations in demand, labor availability, and order complexity.
With a growing customer base and deployment across hundreds of sites globally, the company is preparing to introduce further innovations in autonomous fulfillment and physical AI. The strengthened leadership team is expected to support the next phase of growth and help drive adoption of flexible, scalable automation solutions worldwide.
