Linde Material Handling has introduced a new generation of automation and AI-powered solutions at LogiMAT 2026, including its connected fleet platform and the Linde I-MATIC core series of automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The new I-MATIC core series is designed for specialized industrial applications and offers high levels of customization, with attachments such as single-double forks and paper clamps. These vehicles can handle loads of up to 4.0 tons and reach lifting heights of up to 6.7 meters, making them suitable for industries such as beverage production and paper handling.
A key highlight of the exhibition is a live demonstration featuring a humanoid robot named “Carl,” showcasing the future of AI-driven warehouse automation. Using embodied AI, the robot autonomously retrieves items from shelves and delivers them to users without predefined programming or remote control. The system demonstrates advanced decision-making capabilities, including object recognition, route optimization, and adaptive gripping.
Jan-Niklas Freund, Manager of Automation Sales Steering at Linde Material Handling, noted that while humanoid robotics is still in development, it represents the next evolution in order-picking technology. He emphasized that the company is focused on combining advanced artificial intelligence with refined mechanical systems to expand the scope of warehouse automation.
In addition to humanoid robotics, Linde presented a broad portfolio of automation solutions, including the Linde I-MATIC AC core autonomous pallet stacker, capable of handling heavy loads and operating in diverse environments such as deep-freeze warehouses. The vehicles are powered by the MATIC:move+ platform and coordinated through the Linde Warehouse Manager software, enabling seamless control, routing, and integration within automated logistics systems.
The showcase also includes standardized autonomous vehicles such as the Linde L-MATIC core for narrow aisle operations, as well as stationary solutions like the S-MATIC cube, a fully automated 4-way pallet shuttle system capable of handling up to 100 pallets per hour. With increasing demand for automation across industries, Linde Material Handling continues to expand its portfolio of intelligent, scalable solutions designed to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and productivity in modern intralogistics environments.
