LG Electronics India Limited has received 10 product awards at the DIGIT India’s Top Appliance Awards 2026, recognising its products across television, refrigerator, residential air conditioner, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and air purifier categories. The awards were presented at a ceremony in New Delhi and recognise products based on technical performance, innovation and suitability for Indian consumers. The programme is organised by Times Network and presented by digit.in, which has been covering technology and consumer products for more than 25 years.

The event was attended by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, and Atomic Energy & Space, and Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. DIGIT India’s Top Appliance Awards follows a laboratory-based evaluation process rather than consumer voting. Nominated products were tested at DIGIT’s laboratories in Mumbai and Noida and assessed against more than 150 technical parameters. The evaluation covered areas such as product performance, thermal performance, usability and customer support.

An independent jury reviewed the testing results before the final winners were selected. The jury included Tarun Pathak, Research Director at Counterpoint Research; Navkendar Singh, AVP, ID; Manas Tiwari, Technology Editor, Times Network; and senior members of the DIGIT editorial team.

Commenting on the recognition, Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India Limited, said the awards reflected the company’s focus on combining advanced technology with products designed for Indian households. “Being evaluated through a rigorous, lab-driven process and validated by an independent jury is a strong endorsement of the reliability and performance our consumers expect from LG Electronics,” Mr Jeon said.

The winning products reflect LG’s focus on developing appliances around specific requirements of Indian consumers. The product portfolio includes features such as convertible cooling, inverter-compatible refrigeration and washing programmes designed for local water conditions.

The awards cover more than 36 appliance categories, with the results promoted through DIGIT’s digital, video, print and social platforms. The platform reaches more than 40 million consumers each month. Senior LG Electronics India executives, including Sanjay Chitkara, Co-Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, attended the ceremony along with DIGIT’s editorial and jury teams, technology influencers, members of the Digit Squad community and senior representatives from other appliance brands.

LG Electronics India was established in 1997 and operates across consumer electronics and business-to-business segments, including home appliances, media entertainment, HVAC and commercial displays. The company has manufacturing facilities at Greater Noida and Ranjangaon, Pune, producing products such as LED TVs, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, monitors and commercial air-conditioning systems.
