Lenovo has secured its highest-ever position in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 rankings, climbing to seventh place globally in the 2026 edition. The recognition highlights the company’s continued progress in building a resilient, intelligent, and AI-enabled global supply chain capable of responding rapidly to changing market conditions and global disruptions.

The Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is regarded as one of the industry’s leading benchmarks for supply chain excellence, evaluating organizations on a combination of financial performance, environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics, and peer and expert assessments.

Lenovo’s latest ranking represents a steady upward trajectory after placing eighth in 2025, tenth in 2024, and eighth in 2023. The company attributes its progress to sustained investments in artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and a globally integrated manufacturing network that has strengthened operational agility despite supply chain challenges such as tariffs, component shortages, and geopolitical uncertainties.

A major contributor to this achievement is Lenovo’s AI-powered supply chain platform, iChain, an intelligent orchestration system that continuously coordinates suppliers, manufacturing facilities, logistics operations, and inventory across its worldwide network. The platform enables faster decision-making, automated scenario planning, and near real-time disruption management.

According to Lenovo, iChain has reduced network simulation times from several weeks to just a few hours while automating nearly 90 percent of supply chain modelling activities. These capabilities allow the company to respond more effectively to market fluctuations, improve operational efficiency, and maintain reliable product availability for customers worldwide.

Che Min Tu, Senior Vice President and Group Operations Officer at Lenovo, said the company’s supply chain has become a strategic business asset rather than simply an operational function. “Artificial intelligence has fundamentally transformed the way we manage our global operations. Our ability to anticipate disruptions, respond quickly, and optimize complex supply networks has strengthened business performance while enabling us to better serve customers in rapidly changing markets,” he said.

Lenovo continues to expand its manufacturing footprint across key global regions, with more than 30 production facilities operating in 10 markets spanning Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East. Recent investments include a new manufacturing campus in Saudi Arabia that will produce personal computers, smartphones, and servers for regional markets while supporting research, innovation, and workforce development.

Lenovo is a global technology company with annual revenue of US$83 billion, serving millions of customers across 180 markets worldwide. Ranked among the Fortune Global 500, the company is focused on delivering intelligent technology solutions through its vision of “Smarter Technology for All.”

Lenovo is advancing its Hybrid AI strategy by integrating Personal AI and Enterprise AI capabilities that help individuals and businesses harness the power of artificial intelligence. Its comprehensive portfolio spans PCs, workstations, smartphones, tablets, accessories, servers, storage, edge computing, high-performance computing, software-defined infrastructure, as well as software, solutions, and professional services.

Driven by continuous innovation, Lenovo operates more than 20 research and development centers globally and manages a robust manufacturing and supply chain network comprising over 30 production facilities across 10 markets. This extensive global footprint enables the company to deliver high-quality products, strengthen supply chain resilience, and respond efficiently to evolving customer needs.
