LAPL Automotive Limited has announced two new developments in its Mirror Division, strengthening its presence in India’s growing electric two-wheeler segment through a development programme with Oben Electric and an expanded product portfolio for existing customer BGAUSS. LAPL Automotive Limited, listed on the BSE SME platform, is an integrated automotive components manufacturer engaged in the design and manufacture of automotive lighting systems, mirrors, motors and plastic moulded components.
The company has received a development order from Oben Electric for rear-view mirrors for two-wheelers. The programme marks the addition of Oben Electric as a new OEM customer for LAPL Automotive’s Mirror Division. Under the development programme, LAPL Automotive will work to meet the customer’s technical, quality and validation requirements for the rear-view mirror application. The order provides the company with an opportunity to demonstrate its engineering, product development and manufacturing capabilities within the electric two-wheeler market.
The progression of the programme from development to commercial production will remain subject to the successful completion of customer validation, approvals and commercial processes. In another development, LAPL Automotive has added a new rear-view mirror product for BGAUSS, an existing customer. Production of the new product is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The addition expands LAPL Automotive’s participation in BGAUSS’ product portfolio and further strengthens the relationship between the two companies. BGAUSS was ranked seventh among India’s top 10 electric two-wheeler OEMs in FY2026, according to Autocar Professional.
Together, the two developments broaden the customer and product portfolio of LAPL Automotive’s Mirror Division. While the Oben Electric programme creates a new OEM relationship, the BGAUSS programme expands the company’s business with an existing customer.

He added that the new RVM product for BGAUSS would further expand an existing customer relationship, with production scheduled to commence in October 2026. LAPL Automotive was incorporated in 2004 and operates across Original Design Manufacturing and Original Brand Manufacturing models. Its portfolio includes automotive lighting systems, mirrors, motors and plastic moulded components.
The company serves OEMs across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers and electric mobility segments. Its products include head lamps, tail lamps, indicators, reflectors, starter motors, wiper motors, BLDC fans and rear-view mirrors.
