LANXESS has recently completed the expansion of its Rhenodiv® production line in Jhagadia, which became operational on February 1, 2024. This expansion marks a significant increase in the production capabilities of LANXESS’ Rhein Chemie business unit, enabling it to meet the growing demand in the Indian Subcontinent and Asian tire and rubber goods markets.
LANXESS, a prominent player in the specialty chemicals sector, achieved sales of EUR 8.1 billion in 2022. With a workforce of approximately 13,000 across 32 nations, the company focuses on developing, producing, and promoting chemical intermediates, additives, and consumer protection goods. It is included in the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI World and Europe), highlighting its commitment to sustainability.
The new production line is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing the company to manufacture high-quality technology tire release agents more efficiently. Additionally, it has a similar facility in Argentina. High-performance tires and molded elastomer products require effective release agents to ensure efficient production with minimal scrap.
Rhenodiv® release agents, from LANXESS Rhein Chemie, are environmentally friendly as they are water-based, solvent-free*, and do not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
