KiVi and ASMS have initiated a strategic agri-fintech collaboration aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and supporting rural economic development across key agricultural regions in Maharashtra. As part of this initiative, the companies have identified Supa and Patas villages in Pune district as initial focus areas. These locations mark the first phase of deployment under ASMS’s Project AVIO Agritech, a platform designed to build integrated, technology-driven solutions across agricultural value chains, rural commerce, and financial services.
Both organizations are currently conducting field-level assessments, engaging closely with farmers, rural enterprises, and local distribution partners. These interactions are intended to provide a deeper understanding of existing financial challenges, operational gaps, and ecosystem requirements. Insights gathered through these engagements will help shape tailored, data-driven solutions in collaboration with banking and institutional partners.
The initiative aims to improve access to financial services in rural areas by leveraging digital infrastructure, last-mile connectivity, and advanced data frameworks. By integrating these elements, KiVi and ASMS seek to enable financial institutions to deliver more efficient and accessible services while addressing compliance requirements and reducing operational complexities.
Preliminary assessments suggest that agricultural clusters such as Supa and Patas offer strong potential for pilot implementation due to their established farming networks and organized rural ecosystems. The broader objective is to create a seamless interface between financial institutions, agri value chains, and rural distribution systems, thereby improving productivity, resilience, and income stability for farming communities.
Dr Raja Krishna Murthy M, Head of Agri Tech Business at ASMS, stated that the initiative reflects a commitment to empowering rural stakeholders through technology-enabled solutions. He noted that combining on-ground engagement with digital innovation can help create scalable models that drive sustainable growth and expand access to essential financial services. With agriculture remaining a key pillar of India’s economy, such initiatives are expected to play a vital role in addressing structural challenges, improving credit accessibility, and strengthening rural financial ecosystems.
Avio Smart Market Stack Limited focuses on building integrated platforms that connect rural commerce with financial infrastructure under Project AVIO. Through this collaboration, KiVi and ASMS aim to accelerate the adoption of agri-fintech solutions and contribute to inclusive rural development across Maharashtra and beyond.
