Kingston Technology, a global provider of memory products and technology solutions, has retained its position as the world’s leading third-party DRAM module supplier, according to the latest revenue-based rankings from analyst firm TrendForce. Kingston accounted for an estimated 62% share of the global third-party DRAM module market in 2025.
TrendForce reported that the global DRAM module market generated approximately US$21.2 billion in revenue in 2025, representing a 59% year-on-year increase compared with 2024. The growth was significantly higher than the 7% increase recorded in 2024 and was driven by higher DRAM prices and stronger shipment volumes during the second half of 2025.
Kingston’s revenue increased 48% year-on-year in 2025, allowing the company to maintain its leadership in a market where the top five DRAM module suppliers collectively accounted for 77% of total revenue. Kingston alone represented nearly two-thirds of the third-party DRAM module market.
The market underwent significant changes during 2025. At the beginning of the year, DRAM module manufacturers increased DDR4 inventories amid concerns over tariffs and planned end-of-life timelines for DDR4 products. During the second half, demand from cloud service providers supporting agentic AI workloads increased server DRAM consumption.
The rise in server and AI-related demand reduced DRAM allocations for PC and consumer applications and contributed to higher memory prices. Enterprise computing, data centers and AI infrastructure consequently became major drivers of memory demand. Kingston said its procurement scale and supplier relationships enabled it to manage inventory during the changing market conditions. As DRAM prices strengthened in the second half of 2025, the company was positioned to support channel demand and maintain product availability.
TrendForce also noted a growing focus among DRAM module manufacturers on industrial and enterprise server markets, alongside an accelerated transition towards DDR5-based product portfolios. Kingston’s B2B business recorded strong growth during the year as enterprise, data center and industrial customers sought supply continuity, validated memory solutions and long-term support.
“Maintaining our leadership position in a dynamic and rapidly evolving memory market reflects Kingston’s long-term strategy, strong supplier relationships, and commitment to serving customers worldwide,” Kingston said. The company’s memory portfolio covers DDR4 and DDR5 solutions for client PCs, gaming systems, servers, data centers, AI infrastructure and industrial applications. Its solutions also support embedded systems, surveillance and automation applications.
With its experience in enterprise and industrial deployments, Kingston is expanding its B2B business alongside its established channel operations. The company said its broad DRAM portfolio positions it to support customers as computing workloads move towards higher performance, greater memory requirements and increased adoption of AI-enabled infrastructure.
