Kennametal India Limited (KIL) closed the fourth quarter of FY26 with strong growth in revenue and profit, supported by broad-based demand across its key end-use industries. Sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, increased 47.68% year-on-year to ₹4,776 million, compared with ₹3,234 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company said the strong performance was driven by demand across multiple end-use segments, with the Hard Metal business recording healthy volume growth. The performance comes amid challenging market conditions, including continued volatility in tungsten prices and supply. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose sharply to ₹1,184 million in Q4 FY26 from ₹413 million in the same quarter last year, reflecting the improvement in revenue and operating performance.

Vijaykrishnan Venkatesan, Managing Director, Kennametal India Limited, said the company ended FY26 on a strong note with healthy revenue and profit growth. He attributed the performance to Kennametal India’s technology capabilities, focus on customers and operational improvement initiatives. Mr Venkatesan added that the company remained focused on navigating the challenges created by the unprecedented tungsten market environment while maintaining service levels and supporting customers across its markets.

Kennametal India said the Hard Metal segment continued to benefit from stronger volumes, helping the company respond to changing market conditions. Its diversified presence across manufacturing and industrial applications also supported performance during the quarter.

The company expects continued activity in India’s manufacturing sector to create opportunities across its key business segments. Rising demand for advanced tooling, machining solutions and productivity-enhancing technologies is expected to support future growth as manufacturers invest in capacity and improve production efficiency.

Venkatesan said Kennametal India remains well placed to benefit from the expected positive momentum in the manufacturing industry. He added that the company will continue to focus on technology leadership, customer partnerships and operational efficiency to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

The Q4 performance marks a strong close to FY26 for Kennametal India as the company continues to strengthen its position in the industrial manufacturing market. Its focus remains on delivering high-performance solutions, improving productivity for customers and responding to changing requirements across end-use sectors.
