Kama Ayurveda has announced the launch of Sandanya, its first anti-blemish skincare collection, combining traditional Ayurvedic principles with clinically backed formulations. The new range is designed to address blemish-prone and imbalanced skin while promoting long-term skin health through gentle and effective care.
Derived from Sanskrit, “Sandanya” refers to the body’s inherent ability to heal and regenerate. Reflecting this philosophy, the skincare line focuses on calming inflammation, supporting post-acne recovery, and restoring the skin’s natural balance. The formulations are crafted using 21 Ayurvedic botanicals and enhanced with modern actives such as botanical salicylic acid and niacinamide.
The launch also marks Kama Ayurveda’s collaboration with Mahieka Sharma, who has been named the face of the Sandanya campaign. Known for her presence in the fashion industry, she brings a balanced and mindful approach to beauty, aligning with the brand’s philosophy of holistic skincare.
Sharing her thoughts, Mahieka Sharma said that her approach to beauty is rooted in balance between mind, body, and skin. She noted that Sandanya reflects her belief in nurturing the skin through thoughtful care rather than aggressive treatments, emphasizing clarity and inner wellness.
At the core of the Sandanya range is Indian Licorice, an Ayurvedic ingredient valued for its purifying, soothing, and brightening properties. The formulations are designed to target the underlying causes of skin concerns, including excess oil, clogged pores, and environmental stress, while maintaining the skin’s natural barrier.
The product lineup includes a Blemish-Clarifying Facial Dry Oil, a lightweight Purifying Fresh Serum, and a Perfecting Matte Cream. Each product is dermatologically tested, suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin, and formulated with a high percentage of natural-origin ingredients.
The range is structured into two daily rituals to align with the skin’s natural cycle. The daytime routine includes the serum followed by the matte cream, while the nighttime routine incorporates the facial oil along with the cream for deeper repair and nourishment.
