Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL), a provider of integrated mobility solutions across rail, road and marine transportation, has secured new orders worth more than ₹264 crore from JSW (South) Rail Logistics Private Limited and Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). The contracts further strengthen the company’s order book and reinforce its presence across both private and public sector freight logistics projects.
The larger of the two orders comes from Central Warehousing Corporation, a Government of India enterprise, which has awarded Jupiter Wagons a contract valued at ₹141.44 crore for the manufacture and supply of eight BLSS rakes. The order comprises 32 BLSS-A wagons, 352 BLSS-B wagons and eight brake vans, with execution scheduled within one year from the date of the Letter of Award.
In a separate development, JSW (South) Rail Logistics Private Limited has issued a Letter of Intent to Jupiter Wagons for the manufacture and supply of five BFNSM1 rakes along with BVCM wagons. The contract is valued at ₹122.88 crore and is expected to be completed within seven months. The company will also supply two BFNV wagons to JSW as part of an earlier requirement. The combined value of the two contracts stands at approximately ₹264.32 crore, reflecting sustained demand for specialised freight rolling stock as industries increasingly adopt rail-based logistics to improve efficiency and capacity.
