Juniper Green Energy Limited has expanded its renewable energy portfolio in Gujarat with the commissioning of 305 MW of solar and wind power projects developed under multiple power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). The projects, executed through the company’s subsidiaries, include 183 MW of solar capacity and 122 MW of wind capacity, further strengthening Juniper Green Energy’s presence in one of India’s leading renewable energy markets.
The newly commissioned assets are spread across Surendranagar, Aravalli and neighbouring districts, along with Devbhumi Dwarka, enhancing the state’s clean energy infrastructure while contributing to India’s renewable energy goals. Within its hybrid energy portfolio, the company commissioned 70.56 MW of solar capacity under a 150 MW hybrid project on April 23, 2026, completing the milestone 71 days ahead of the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD). A second solar installation of 42.42 MW under a 120 MW hybrid project was commissioned on May 14, 2026, nearly 148 days ahead of schedule. Juniper Green Energy also commissioned an additional 70.07 MW of solar capacity under another 150 MW hybrid project on June 3, 2026, achieving completion 30 days before the planned commercial operation date.
The company has also completed two wind power projects in Devbhumi Dwarka, adding 50.40 MW under a 50 MW project and 72.45 MW under a 70 MW project. Together, these installations contribute 122 MW of wind energy capacity to Gujarat’s renewable power network.
The successful execution of these projects highlights Juniper Green Energy’s ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy assets within demanding timelines. Gujarat continues to play a strategic role in the company’s expansion plans, supported by the state’s favourable renewable energy ecosystem and long-standing partnership with GUVNL.
Commenting on the achievement, Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy, said the commissioning demonstrates the company’s strong execution capabilities and commitment to delivering reliable clean energy solutions. He added that the company remains focused on expanding renewable energy capacity across key markets while supporting India’s transition to a low-carbon economy. The latest milestone follows the recent commissioning of India’s first Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan, reinforcing Juniper Green Energy’s focus on deploying advanced renewable energy solutions.
Headquartered in Delhi NCR, Juniper Green Energy develops, builds and operates utility-scale solar, wind and hybrid power projects across India. Since commencing operations in 2018, the company has expanded its operational portfolio to approximately 1.66 GW and continues to invest in projects that strengthen India’s clean energy infrastructure.
