Precision metal fabricator JM Hutton & Co has announced plans to invest more than $6.25 million to expand its operations in Richmond, Indiana, with the project expected to create up to 37 new jobs by the end of 2029. The planned expansion will strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities and increase production capacity at its facilities, which cover more than 250,000 square feet.
A key part of the investment will be the development of a new production line dedicated to truck cab manufacturing. The additional line will enable JM Hutton to take on new business opportunities while increasing its ability to serve customers in the commercial vehicle and related manufacturing sectors.
The expansion will also increase the company’s capacity across several precision metal manufacturing processes, including metal stamping, two-dimensional and three-dimensional laser cutting, welding and powder coating. The investment is expected to support both existing operations and future growth as demand for precision-manufactured metal components continues to develop.
