Jindal Stainless Limited has introduced its stainless steel rebars, branded ‘Jindal Infinity’, in the retail segment with an initial launch in Punjab. The move marks a strategic expansion aimed at making advanced construction materials more accessible to end users across the region. The product was unveiled in Amritsar through a two-day engagement programme that brought together contractors, architects, and structural engineers. The sessions focused on increasing awareness around material selection, demonstrating product applications, and encouraging the adoption of high-performance construction solutions.
To support the rollout, the company has established an initial network of around 20 distributors and retail partners across Punjab. This last-mile network is expected to play a key role in improving accessibility and strengthening engagement with decision-makers at the ground level.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, stated that as India continues to witness rapid infrastructure growth, there is a need to prioritise materials that offer durability, safety, and long-term value over short-term cost considerations. He noted that the retail introduction of Jindal Infinity represents an extension of the company’s presence within the construction value chain, bringing globally proven solutions closer to Indian consumers.
Stainless steel rebars under the ‘Jindal Infinity’ brand have been used in demanding applications such as coastal infrastructure, metro systems, and real estate developments. Compared to conventional reinforcement materials, they offer superior resistance to corrosion, including higher tolerance to chloride exposure, making them suitable for aggressive environments.
The rebars are engineered for enhanced strength and performance, delivering higher load-bearing capacity, improved tensile properties, and better seismic resistance due to a favourable tension-to-yield strength ratio. Their ability to withstand elevated temperatures also contributes to improved fire safety. Additionally, reduced concrete cover requirements enable more efficient structural design.
With a service life that can exceed that of conventional rebars by a significant margin, the product supports lower maintenance needs and improved lifecycle economics, making it suitable for long-term infrastructure projects.
Rajeev Garg, Head of Sales, highlighted that the initiative is focused on building a strong distribution ecosystem while engaging directly with stakeholders such as engineers, architects, and contractors. He noted that early market response indicates rising demand for durable and high-performance materials.
Manufactured using billets from the company’s Hisar facility in Haryana and processed at its Ghaziabad plant, the rebars form part of Jindal Stainless’ long products portfolio. The company plans to expand availability to additional markets including Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh over the coming months.
Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, continues to invest in sustainable manufacturing practices and infrastructure innovation, supporting long-term industrial growth and efficiency. Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of ₹40,182 crore (USD 4.75 billion) in FY25 and is progressing toward a 4.2 million tonne annual melt capacity by FY27. The company operates 16 manufacturing and processing facilities across India and overseas locations including Spain and Indonesia, supported by a global presence in 12 countries as of March 2025.
Its portfolio includes slabs, blooms, coils, plates, sheets, precision strips, wire rods, rebars, blade steel, and coin blanks. Established in 1970, the company operates integrated facilities to maintain cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Stainless steel is produced using electric arc furnace technology, enabling significant emission reductions and high recyclability.
