InstaAstro, a digital spiritual wellness platform, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, with participation from the company’s founders. The funding comes as InstaAstro crosses an annualised revenue run-rate of ₹200 crore ($21 million), five years after starting as an astrology consultation application. The company’s annual revenue increased from ₹52 crore ($5.47 million) in FY25 to ₹111.26 crore ($11.71 million) in FY26, more than doubling in one year. Its registered user base has also increased nearly four times over the past two years to 12 million.
Founded in 2021 by Nitin Verma, InstaAstro has expanded from an astrology consultation service into a broader spiritual wellness platform serving customers across 183 countries. The platform now has more than 5,000 verified experts covering astrology, tarot, numerology, vastu and related services. The number of experts has increased significantly from around 1,500 at the company’s previous funding round.
International markets, particularly those with a large Indian diaspora, currently account for around 25% of InstaAstro’s revenue. In India, Tier I cities remain the company’s largest markets, while Tier II and Tier III cities are witnessing faster growth as smartphone use and digital payments increase access to online spiritual services.
Nitin Verma, Founder and CEO, InstaAstro, said the company would focus on building trust and expanding its services. “We are committed to building the world’s most trusted spiritual platform by prioritising quality over quantity. This investment will help us strengthen our position in trusted astrology services, expand across regional and international markets and accelerate our online Pooja Seva and spiritual commerce offerings,” Mr Verma said.
A significant portion of the new capital will be invested in technology and product development. InstaAstro plans to use AI-based tools, including sentiment analysis, to help experts provide more contextual consultations. The company will also work on multilingual capabilities to improve consultation experiences across different languages.
The funding will further support the expansion of InstaAstro’s Pooja Seva and spiritual commerce businesses. Anirudh A Damani, Managing Partner, Artha Venture Fund, said the company had focused on building a strong base of verified experts and repeat customers rather than relying only on aggressive user acquisition.
The company operates in a rapidly expanding digital spiritual services market. India’s aInstaAstrostrology app market was valued at around $163 million in 2024 and is projected to reach $1.8 billion by 2030, according to MarkNtel Advisors. InstaAstro plans to use its growing technology, expert and customer base to build a broader faith-tech platform. Its long-term objective is to cover multiple stages of the user journey, from consultations and rituals to discovery and spiritual commerce. With the latest funding, the company aims to expand its geographical presence, strengthen its technology platform and develop new services for users in India and international markets.
