INOXGFL Group has emerged as the successful bidder for the acquisition of the Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) businesses of Wind World India through a resolution process approved by the National Company Law Tribunal. The acquisition will be carried out through group companies Inox Clean Energy Limited, via its subsidiary Inox Neo Energies, and Inox Green Energy Services Limited.
Under the agreement, Inox Clean Energy’s subsidiary will acquire Wind World India’s IPP portfolio, while Inox Green Energy Services will take over its O&M business. Wind World India’s IPP portfolio includes approximately 600 MW of installed wind capacity across key wind-rich states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. Its O&M business manages close to 4.5 GW of renewable assets for a client base that includes leading corporates such as the Tata Group, ReNew, Greenko Group, Apraava Energy and Hindustan Zinc.
With this acquisition, Inox Clean Energy expands its operational wind portfolio across major renewable energy corridors. The company aims to reach 10 GW of installed IPP capacity and 11 GW of integrated solar manufacturing capacity by FY28. Inox Green Energy Services, which already manages around 13.3 GW of renewable assets, is expected to strengthen its position as one of India’s largest renewable O&M service providers.
Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group, said the acquisition will expand the group’s renewable energy platform and strengthen its presence across the wind value chain. He added that integrating high-quality wind assets and expanding the O&M portfolio will support long-term growth and enhance the group’s contribution to India’s energy transition.
Akhil Jindal, Group CFO, said the transaction aligns with the group’s investment framework and will improve recurring revenue through operational assets and long-term O&M contracts. He noted that the group remains focused on disciplined capital allocation and operational efficiency while scaling its renewable energy portfolio.
INOXGFL Group, with interests across chemicals and renewable energy, operates in more than 75 countries. Through investments in wind, solar and advanced manufacturing, the group continues to expand its clean energy presence. The acquisition of Wind World India’s assets strengthens its position in the renewable sector and supports India’s transition toward sustainable and reliable power generation.
