Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, inaugurated the SIAM Sustainable Mobility Pavilion at India Energy Week (IEW) 2025. Organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the pavilion, themed “People-Centric Mobility Ecosystem,” is open from 11th to 14th February 2025 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The exhibit showcases India’s advancements in green mobility, alternative fuels, and decarbonization.
During his visit, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri explored 15 production-ready vehicles and cutting-edge technologies spanning Flex Fuel, Gas, Compressed Bio Gas (CBG), Pure Electric, and Hydrogen-powered solutions. The pavilion features innovations from leading automobile manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Toyota Kirloskar, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, and Suzuki Motorcycle India, showcasing the industry’s multi-pathway approach to a cleaner, greener future.
Speaking at the event, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri remarked “The Indian automobile industry plays a pivotal role in the nation’s energy transition. Through innovations in alternative fuels and electrification, SIAM and its members are making remarkable strides in decarbonizing transportation. Platforms like India Energy Week provide a crucial bridge between the energy and mobility sectors to accelerate India’s sustainability goals.”
